Why Invisalign treatment?

• Faster treatment: With weekly aligner changes, you’re on your way to the smile you want even faster. Depending on your response to treatment, particularly in mature adults, Dr. Chitgopekar may consider longer periods between aligner changes.

The Invisalign Treatment Process

Your First Consultation

At your initial consultation, Dr. Chitgopekar will discuss your orthodontic needs and evaluate whether Invisalign treatment is right for you.

Your Custom Treatment Plan

Dr. Chitgopekar will use a scanner such as the iTero® digital scanning system to create fast, precise 3D digital images of your teeth. Then she will map out a precise treatment plan, including the exact movements of your teeth and how long your treatment will be. You’ll even get to see how your teeth will move and preview your new smile.

Your Invisalign Clear Aligners

Your custom-made aligners will be made of Invisalign’s proprietary SmartTrack® material. They’re virtually invisible, so most people won’t even notice you’re wearing them during your teeth straightening.

Wear your Invisalign clear aligners 20 to 22 hours a day for the best results, and take them out only to eat, brush, and floss.

Your Progress

As you wear each set of aligners, your teeth will gently and gradually shift into place. Dr. Chitgopekar may recommend that you begin wearing a new set of aligners every week and schedule checkups every six weeks or so.

Taking Care of Your New Smile

When your treatment is complete, ask us about a Vivera® retainer. Vivera retainers are custom-made using the same state-of-the-art technology as Invisalign clear aligners.

PROPEL Orthodontics

Dr. Chitgopekar is excited to offer accelerated orthodontic treatment with PROPEL Orthodontics! If you’re interested in improving the aesthetics of your smile, but are put off by the thought of having to spend months or even years in braces, PROPEL could be right for you. This state-of-the-art technology speeds up tooth movement, and though every patient’s situation is different, many can now have their orthodontic treatment completed in less than a year.

So, how does PROPEL work?

Over the past 20 years, new treatment options have made our patients’ orthodontic experience more efficient, but not necessarily faster. That is, until now!

PROPEL works with your own biology by stimulating the bone surrounding your teeth. It helps your teeth to move faster and more predictably into their ideal position. This allows you to see your new smile faster and requires fewer visits to our office. PROPEL can be completed right here in our office and does not require any invasive surgical procedures.

In addition, PROPEL treatment involves very little discomfort. There is zero recovery time and you will be able to return immediately to your normal daily routine.

PROPEL can be used for approximately 80% of patients receiving orthodontic treatment, and can be used in conjunction with any treatment type, including TADs, clear aligners, clear braces, and conventional metal braces. To learn more, contact our office!
